Philosophy

A work of art, once shown to the public or an individual, is immediately criticized, categorized and marked as beautiful or not by each person’s perceptiveness. Years and years of art criticism have passed and millions of articles have been written about it. Still, in our times, nobody can describe with accuracy what is beautiful and what is not. Fereos + Associates does not claim to have such a definition of beauty. But we do posses a great amount of techniques and tricks that helped us to approach really close to beautifulness as much as we could.

Architecture, like any other art, is primarily a quest for beauty but not just that. Art is born the moment one wishes to give a second look to an object or a tool that previously had no other thoughts about it, or its substantiality. We want to build our house because we need to. The moment we think of making this structure look nice, is the moment architecture is born. So architecture primarily is a quest for beauty but at the same time has its roots deep in human needs of every day living. This is what separates architecture from many other forms of art. An architect not only has to design a building but also has the greatest responsibility of making it function properly and safely.

In the previous saying we have described exactly what architecture is about. Our studio serves not only architecture but another important task, the opinion and perceptiveness of our clients. We work closely with our clients whether it is an individual or the public sector and we accept a great amount of criticism by them in a way to better our selves and at the same time to expand our clients’ expectations. We don’t just give you what you want; we give you what you have never dreamed of. This is our motto since the beginning of our studio and this is what a real architect must do.

What great architects have achieved they have done it only through extensive practice and systematic studying. We strongly believe that if you want to practice architecture in its modern form and even better achieve a personal style it is strongly needed to be true with your approach in design. Whether you work on large projects or small residences, size cannot constrain or define the aesthetic decisions for your design. Size does not matter. Only the amount of true worked details you include and the capacity of your skills to control your design. It is not wrong to imitate; it is wrong to imitate without learning.

Fereos + Associates have produced many styles in building through the years whether this is Residence planning and small size buildings or large size buildings such as Education, industrial and Health. Our style can be recognized easily by many spectators and that is what makes our practice unique. We build on years of experience to evolve our skills and challenge our selves through the struggle to bring beauty in our creations.
